ISIC Scholar

The International Scholar Identity Card is your passport to fantastic discounts and services at home and around the world. The ISIC Scholar card is the only internationally-recognized scholar ID and ISIC card holders are members of a truly global club. There are 40 000 of student discounts on offer, including 1000 in Estonia.

Who can apply for the card?
Any student who studies at an elementary school, primary school, high school or vocational school aged 6 years and over.

How long is the card valid for?
In Estonia there are ISIC Scholar cards which are valid for:
1 academic year – starting on 1 August or 1 September and ending on 31 December of the next year (e.g. if you apply for a 1-year card in October 2013 it will be valid from September 2013 until 31 December 2014).
2 academic years – starting on 1 August or 1 September and ending on 31 December of the year after the next year (e.g. if you apply for a 2-year card in October 2013 it will be valid until 31 December 2015). For a 2-year ISIC card can apply only those students who study at a school which is using Minu Kool system (for more information please contact the Federation of Estonian Student Unions) and whose nominal time of study does not end before the card validity.
3 academic years – starting on 1 August or 1 September and ending on 31 December 3 years from now (e.g. if you  apply for a 3-year card in October 2012 it will be valid until 31 December 2015). For a 3-year ISIC card can apply only those students who study at a school which is using Minu Kool system(for more information please contact the Federation of Estonian Student Unions) and whose nominal time of study does not end before the card validity.
The new period of validity starts every year on 1 August.

How much does it cost?
1-year-card: 7,5 euros
2-year-card: 13,8 euros
3-year-card: 19,2 euros
The payment can be made in cash in the Federation of Estonian Student Union’s office (Pärnu mnt 102-21, 11312 Tallinn) or by a bank transaction (the necessary information for the payment will be sent from info@minukool.ee).

SEB ISIC Scholar bank card issued by SEB bank

The SEB ISIC Scholar card combines the functions of an international ISIC Scholar Card, a Mastercard Debit Card and Ühiskaart. With the ISIC Scholar bank card you can make daily banking transactions and prove your student status. All ISIC benefits extend to this card both in Estonia and abroad.

Estonian Pupil Card

An Estonian Pupil Card  (e-õpilaspilet) certifies pupil status within Estonia. ISIC Scholar Card discounts are not added to the Estonian Pupil Card. The card is valid electronically for 3 academic years and visually for one academic year – a sticker indicating the validity period is attached to the card at the beginning of each academic year, which is valid until October 1 of the next academic year.

An Estonian Pupil Card with a chip can also be used as a Ühiskaart in public transport (instead of a Ühiskaart). To do this, the card must be registered as a public transportation card on the pilet.ee website
